Invite your friends and coworkers to join us for some laughs on Thursday August 19, 2010 at the World Famous Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip. We've got some great comics lined up who will be sure to tickle your funny bone. Cost of this fantastic night of laughter will be $25.00 when purchased in advance or $30 at the door. This event is ages 21+ and the standard 2-drink minimum applies. Proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club's Inner City Outings Committee of the Angeles Chapter.

Inner City Outings (ICO) is a community outreach program of the Sierra Club which provides disadvantaged children with positive outdoor experiences. Through the ICO program, wilderness areas become accessible to youth of varied economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, many of whom have never experienced the ocean or the mountains so close to where they live. Angeles Chapter ICO enables LA's urban youth to explore California's parks, mountains, and beaches through day hikes, camping and snow trips, and tide pool outings.

Our all-volunteer organization provides outdoor experiences for about 70 schools and agencies serving LA's neediest children - those who might not learn to appreciate the wilderness without us. Our trips instill a love of nature that forms future environmentalists. These outings are conducted at relatively low cost, the largest expense being transportation costs for bus rentals. Because demand for these trips exceeds our resources, we need additional funding to pay for outings.

The Sierra Club 20s & 30s Singles Section is proud to sponsor this night of comedy that will benefit our local ICO program of the Sierra Club. We love the outdoors and believe everybody should be able to enjoy it. Please join us at this special event to raise some funds for a great cause while enjoying an evening of laughter among friends.
